Smita Clarke | Senior Interior Designer

Smita believes in creating timeless interiors which take a space beyond decorating trends. She loves to mix and match different styles from a range of eras which whilst being sympathetic to the architecture of a building.

A seasoned HR professional with over a decade of experience working in the property and media sector, she studied Psychology followed by a Masters in Human Resource Management; definitely someone with a keen interest in understanding people! After taking a pause to spend time with her growing family, she found herself wanting to do something more creative. This was channelled into two extensive home refurbishments.   She soon realised the skills she had developed during her years in HR could be relevant in interior design. This led to Smita retraining as a Interior Designer at The Interior Design School in Queens Park, London. Since then she has worked for a number of brands such as Graham and Green, Farrow and Ball, Indie & Co and Victoria Covell Interiors and freelanced for many others.

Her training at Farrow & Ball underpins her approach to colour - always considered! She loves to work with clients to design spaces which reflect their needs, personality and lifestyle. Her aim is to create a space which feels comfortable, lived in and never overly designed.
